Today, we are diving into the world of premium PC cases with the APNX C1. In the current meta of case design, airflow is a paramount consideration. Most cases feature a standard mesh-type front panel for intake and a mesh-type top panel for exhaust, accompanied by the traditional tempered glass (TG) side panel. However, the C1 takes a bold step forward, introducing a wrap-around mesh design. This unique approach extends the mesh not only to the traditional non-TG side but also wraps around the case, only halting for the TG side panel.

Let's delve into the fundamental specifications of the C1. It accommodates a CPU cooler with a height of up to 166 mm, suitable for most coolers on the market. APX has prioritized cooling, bundling the case with four fans. While typical setups include 120 mm fans, the C1 breaks the mold by featuring one 120 mm fan and three larger 140 mm fans, emphasizing the importance of enhanced airflow. All these fans come equipped with addressable RGB (ARGB) lighting, providing aesthetic flair out of the box. The case's spacious interior allows for a 360 mm radiator all-in-one (AIO) liquid cooling solution, and it can house a GPU with a maximum length of 395 mm.

Examining the front panel, it boasts a USB Type-C port, two USB 3.2 ports, a headphone jack, power button, and reset button. Noteworthy is the inclusion of a 30 mm thick fan, exceeding the typical 25 mm thickness, suggesting a potential boost in quality and performance for cooling. The C1 prioritizes cooling to an impressive extent, supporting up to 11 120 mm fans or a combination of 140 mm and 120 mm fans.

Beyond the technical specifications, the C1 excels in cable management with ample room in the back for tidy organization. The case includes Velcro tie-wire strips, a thoughtful addition aiding users in achieving clean cable routing. The aesthetic appeal of the case is characterized by a sleek and clean design, demonstrating quality material that aligns with premium case standards. A subtle yet significant detail is the skirt that extends all the way around the bottom, eliminating any visible gap – a testament to the meticulous attention to detail by the designers.

In terms of performance testing, we equipped the C1 with a Ryzen 7 5800X CPU and an RX 7800 XT GPU, both on the higher end. The stock configuration with the included fans exhibited commendable results, with slight variations in CPU temperatures depending on GPU activity. However, the C1 truly shines when fully utilizing its fan slots. Adding six more 120 mm fans resulted in a notable improvement in temperatures across the board, especially for the CPU, which reached much cooler temperatures under load.

The APNX C1 lives up to its reputation as a high-quality case with excellent airflow capabilities. Its thoughtful design, attention to detail, and flexibility in accommodating numerous fans contribute to its standing as a premium case option. If you prioritize optimal cooling for your components, the APNX C1 deserves consideration as a reliable enclosure for your gaming or high-performance PC build.
